Music Hall Memories
"Music Hall Memories" celebrates those performers who didn't sing. It features comic and dramatic monologues, mostly famous from Music Hall or radio, all recreated by Lance. He links each piece talking about its origins or context.
Stanley Holloway features strongly with several pieces including "Albert and the Lion." There are also pieces from Robb Wilton and Al Read amongst others.
In the full length version of the show Lance included pieces by Gerard Manley Hopkins, Milton Hayes, Myra Brooks Welch and W.S.Gilbert. There is even a brand new comic poem in the style of Music Hall, The Diary of Janice Ramsbottom by Fran Hill.
